Dr. Bernd Zattler, founded LFS in 1997, and has since then been Managing Director and majority owner of the firm. He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria, and Director on the Supervisory Boards of AccessHolding and AccèsBanque Madagascar. Before the foundation of LFS, Mr. Zattler worked for a multinational firm and in institutions engaged in development finance. Dr. Zattler holds a Ph.D. in Economics, and speaks German, English, French and Spanish.
Marcus Hannappel, has been working for LFS since 2007. Mr. Hannappel is Senior Consultant, and since 2010 Senior Banking Consultant at LFS Head Office. Before he was 1 year Chief Credit Officer / Deputy CEO of AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria and 2.5 years Credit Advisor and Branch Manager with this bank and AccèsBanque in Madagascar. Mr. Hannappel has an M.Sc. in Economics, and speaks German, English, French and Spanish.
Dr. Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien : has been with the Federal Ministry of Communication Technology-Member of a team convened by the Honourable Minister of ICT to draft a comprehensive ICT policy for Nigeria. She has worked with and consulted for several Federal Government organizations in Nigeria, Coca-Cola Nigeria, MTN Nigeria, United Nations Development Program, Bertelsmann AG, Germany. She has also done several presentations/Conferences in different countries including the US, UK, Germany, Spain, Nigeria and Italy. Dr. Nnoli-Edozein has a Ph.D and Master Degree. She speaks English, German and French.
Oliver van Bergeijk has been working at KfW since 2006. Mr. van Bergeijk has been a Vice President in the Restructuring Department since 2011 where he works on loans to and equity investments in a variety of financial and microfinance institutions worldwide mainly in distressed situations. He is also Board Member of BFSE Holding BV. Before that, Mr. van Bergeijk was working as Fund Manager for the KfW Carbon Fund, Investment Manager for KfW’s investments in German and European private equity and venture capital funds, Head of Group Controlling in an internet finance company and in several positions at Deutsche Bank. He holds a Master in Economics, and speaks German and English.
Klaus Mueller is the MD/CEO of AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria, responsible for the strategic direction and the day-to-day operations of the bank. He has extensive experience in the management of financial institutions in German and Eastern Europe, where he has served in senior roles in risk management and general management of commercial banks. Klaus has played leading roles in the start-up of microfinance banks and in the restructuring of commercial banks. He holds an MBA degree and is a certified financial analyst (CFA) and speaks German, English, Russian and Serbian.
